The prompts, verbatim.

These are all internal prompts authored during the build. They are shown without shortening or rewriting so the creative constraints can be reproduced.

01 · Prompt

Creative direction prompt

Used to establish the chosen visual system and its boundaries.

Design a Signature-track digital art site called “PELAGIC / Memory of water”. Treat scrolling as a descent through an oceanic archive whose material is remembered light, temperature and pressure. Begin in milk-glass aqua, pass through mineral violet, and end in abyssal red before resurfacing. The experience must feel sensorial and editorial without imitating a magazine, product theatre or dark neon WebGL demo. Choose one sole focal signature, keep the surrounding interface disciplined, and make the no-JavaScript, no-canvas and reduced-motion experiences complete.

02 · Prompt

Living field prompt

Used as the specification for the original Canvas 2D atmosphere.

Create a lightweight, code-native Canvas 2D field that behaves like memory suspended in water. Draw no literal fish, bubbles or stock ocean motifs. Use a small population of soft cells and pressure rings whose scale, density, drift and colour respond to document depth. Shallow cells should feel like refracted milk glass, the thermocline should compress into mineral-violet lenses, and the hadal zone should bloom in muted vent red. Cap DPR and particle count, pause in hidden tabs, ignore pointer input on touch, and do not use runtime style mutation.

03 · Prompt

Editorial transition prompt

Used to shape the scroll narrative and typographic masks.

Build five long scroll strata rather than a stack of cards. Give each stratum one thought, one sticky reading shelf and one depth datum. Reveal major phrases through calm vertical clipping masks tied to view progress. Keep Bodoni Moda italic display type enormous but sparse, and use Spline Sans Mono for every archival note and control. The fixed bathymeter must orient the visitor without becoming dashboard chrome. On mobile, remove stickiness and preserve the exact narrative order.

04 · Prompt

Three-pass review prompt

Used as the fixed critique lens after the first complete build.

Review PELAGIC in exactly three passes. Pass one: find defects, interaction failures, contrast edges, timing issues and mobile composition problems at 320, 390, 768 and 1440 pixels. Pass two: formulate one depth and tactility hypothesis, then add only the detail that makes the living field and bathymeter feel physically connected. Pass three: test cohesion, rhythm and reduction against DESIGN.md, remove any effect that competes with the sole signature, and verify the no-em-dash, reduced-motion, no-JavaScript, no-media and no-canvas contracts. Record concrete evidence and targeted fixes.
